Sidharth Malhotra – Actor Sahil Vaid, who played the role of best friend Sunny of Kargil War hero martyr Captain Vikram Batra in Kiara Advani’s film ‘Sher Shah’, was regretting working in the film. He had said during an interview that he did this film just to thank Dharma Productions. He did not want to play the role of Batra’s best friend Sunny as this role was not discussed anywhere. However, now Sahil has clarified on his statements. Not only this, he also said that the things said by him were exaggerated and my words have been misinterpreted here.

Wrong meaning of what was said by Sahil Vaid!

Sahil Vaid told India.com that his comments hurt the sentiments of the ‘people of Dharma Productions’ and he never used the word ‘regret’. Sahid further adds, “I loved being a part of ‘Sher Shah’. I don’t know why the word ‘regret’ was used in the article. I have never used the words ‘sershah regrets’. I don’t regret doing Sher Shah at all.

People of Dharma Productions were hurt and had to give clarification again and again

Sahid further added, “This ‘sorry, regret’ statement has really hurt the sentiments of the people of Dharma Productions. People called me asking ‘why did you say that?’ And since morning, I have been cleaning.” Sahid further clarifies, “I was saying from the beginning that it was a small role. I was told to play a friend of Shaheed Batra. I come from an army family and really wanted to do this film. I want to play the role of a soldier, where I get to do some action. But I never said that I regret doing ‘Sher Shah’. That was not my statement.”

Know what Sahil had said earlier.

Sahil Vaid while talking to ‘Zoom’ told, “I thought it was a very small role and didn’t really want to do this role. I went to the director and asked him to give me a similar role. I really Would love to play the role of a soldier, no one has seen me in such roles and I really want to do those battle scenes but the director was sure that I am best suited to play Sunny. I am a lot of religion. I am doing this film Shershaah just to say thank you to Dharma because earlier Dharma gave me a chance to work in Humpty Diya Sharma Ki Dulhania – Badrinath Ki Dulhania.
