Actor Lokendra Singh Rajawat, who has worked in TV serials ‘Jodha Akbar’ and ‘Ye Hai Mohabbatein’, has lost one leg due to diabetes. During the Corona period, he was facing work problems. Due to stress, his diabetes level kept increasing.

After the operation which lasted for 5 hours, the doctors separated one of his legs from the body. In an interview, Lokendra explains that the high stress level had raised his blood sugar to a dangerous level, due to which he had to amputate his leg.

The situation of Kovid 19 added to Lokendra’s problems. Talking to Times of India, Lokendra says that ‘I cannot do anything. Before the Kovid epidemic, I was doing good work but when the work started decreasing, the worries started increasing due to financial problems.

Lokendra told that it started when problems started in his right leg. He ignored it. After that the infection went on spreading. He had gangrene. The only way to save himself was to amputate his legs till the knee.

Lokendra’s operation went on for five hours at Bhaktivedanta Hospital in Mumbai. He further says that ‘I wish I had taken care of it when I was diagnosed with diabetes 10 years ago. We actors don’t have any fixed shooting timings. Irregularity of lunch and working hours have a bad effect on health. And there is tension. All these increase the risk of diabetes.
Lokendra has received financial assistance from CINTAA (Cine and TV Artistes Association). Many actors keep getting information about his health.
Talking about Lokendra’s other shows, he has worked in ‘CID’ and ‘Crime Patrol’. He also worked in Ranbir Kapoor’s film ‘Jagga Jasoos’. Talking about personal life, Lokendra is married and has two children.
