Veteran actor Arvind Trivedi, who played the role of ‘Ravana’ in Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Ramayana’, has died at the age of 83. Arvind may have appeared on the screen in the role of Ravana, but in real life he was a big devotee of Lord Ram… about which he had told in many interviews. At the same time, his death has shook the industry. Arvind’s co-star and actor Arun Govil, who is seen in the role of ‘Ram’ on screen, has also condoled his death, along with it he has also told about the rumors of any tension between the two. Kind of false.
The sadness of not being able to reach the funeral
Expressing grief over the death of Arvind Trivedi, Arun Govil said- ‘When I woke up today, I got the sad news of the death of my colleague Arvind Trivedi last night. I had spoken to him some 10 days back and he was not well. He did not have any serious illness but he was facing problems related to old age. It was too late and I am sorry for not being able to attend his funeral. I feel a strange emptiness because I have worked with him for a long time and he was a great friend.
Shiva devotee and simple person
He said- ‘Apart from Sita, Ram and Ravana are two stronger characters than Ramayana but there was no competition or any enmity between us. He was a gentleman and a very professional, great actor too. I remember that we used to eat food together and then go on a walk together to Umbergaon. I will remember him as a Shiva devotee and a man of simplicity’.
