Mahindra XUV700 First Owner

While the delivery of the petrol variant has started from today, the diesel variant will be made available to the customers from November last week.

Mahindra has a big task in hand, as the bookings for the recently launched XUV700 have crossed 65k units. This comes at a time when the auto industry is facing a severe shortage of semiconductor chips. Despite the challenges, Mahindra is on track to ensure delivery in the shortest possible time. The production of the XUV700 is in full swing and hundreds of units have been seen inside the plant, ready to ship.

Mahindra XUV700 Gold Edition first owner

Starting today, Mahindra has officially started the deliveries of the new XUV700. Javelin throw gold medal champion Sumit Antill is among the first owners of the new XUV700. It tops the AX7 line with the luxury pack that’s been handed in. Here are some highlights about the Gold Edition XUV700:

– Immortalizing the record Sumit Antil’s remarkable record is embossed in the form of badges on the fenders and tailgate, embroidered on all six headrests and also on the front dashboard.
– Custom Made Front Grille: The already beautiful front grille has been made more attractive with gold plating on the vertical slats of the grille.
– New Mahindra SUV Logo in Gold: Proudly proud of the new Mahindra SUV logo, the XUV700 has satin gold plating.
– Gold accents on seats and IP panels: All seats and IP panels are gilded as accents.

algorithm-based delivery system

To ensure the delivery of XUV700 in the most streamlined manner, Mahindra has come up with an algorithm-based process. The system has been developed in collaboration with a leading global consulting firm. Intelligent systems factor in various variables such as dealer and city-level bookings, the ratio of offline and online bookings, supply chain constraints, and version-level production viability.

Traditionally, delivery bookings are based on orders. Mahindra’s new system is different and it updates itself regularly based on the evolving parameters. Resistance from customers is unlikely as most of the bookings have been done within a period of around 3 hours. The customers are being personally informed about the expected date of delivery. However, if supply chain problems persist, delivery dates may change.

Keeping in mind the plan to deliver 14k units by January 14, 2021, the delivery rate is around 187 units per day. In themselves, these numbers don’t sound bad at all. However, looking at the bookings of 65k+ units, it is clear that the waiting period for the XUV700 will increase by several months. True assuming that the current rate remains the same. Mahindra may plan to ramp up production in the coming months to reduce the delivery timeline.
